Att kommunicera med fransk butikspersonal är inte alltid det lättaste och efter att ha besökt både Carvens butik i St Germain och på Galerie Lafayette begav jag mig till närbelägna Printemps för att kolla om min drömtröja möjligtvis fanns där. OCH DET GJORDE DEN! Det före detta Haute Couturehuset satte en okänd assistent, Guillaume Henry, från Givenchy vid rodret 2009 och plockade på bara några få säsonger upp återförsäljare på Colette, 10 Corso Como och Opening Ceremony. Henry har blivit jämförd med “en ung Saint Laurent” och det ska verkligen bli intressant att se om han lyckas ta modehuset genom denna guldålder av hipsterdyrkan.

To communicate with french sales advisors is not the easiest since not everyone wants to speaks english and my french is (pardon my french) effing awful. Iwent to the luxurious department store Printemps just beside and found my darling!!! <3<3 The post-couture house put the ex-Givenchy assistant, Guillaume Henry, in charge of bringing this sleeping beauty to life in 2009. In 2012 he launched the first menswear collection which was greeted with extreme joy from all the hipsters around the world. In just a few seasons he was selling his clothes at 10 Corso Como, Colette and Opening Ceremony. He has already been compared with “a young Saint Laurent” and it will be interesting to see if he will bring the old fashion house through this time of hipster madness and make it in to an institution like YSL, Givenchy, Balenciaga etc.
