Coming with the whole ODALISQUE team to Storholmen ”castle” where I once lived I had no idea what to expect, it was a a place of deep beauty with a colourful history back then, a”punchking” had built it at the turn of the century and it had lived a high society life before it met the opposite. There was so much potential to recreate something new, using the old as a base. I had visions of a whole organic based retreat and creative place, growing our own food, making a spa in one of the wings and a big kitchen with a greenhouse in the other. All with a sustainable and holistic base. The fountain with clean water. Little huts with no electricity or running water, very peacefully set in nature for silent retreats. And high technology in a building on another part of the land for creative work and world-wide connections. Events, exhibitions etc…the visions were great and many steps were taken on the path towards completion…but in the end it was too big a project and it was time for me to move on. Coming there now was like visiting an old friend, a sleeping beauty. The beauty of time having it`s own impact on walls, and pillars and… everything. Beautiful and a bit sad. A story that will continue without me and it will be interesting to see where it will go. The owners have great visions still. For my part I was delighted to be there with the Odalisque team, making a fashion story that we had put together. Co-creation is the Best! We started of with no make-up, only a base and added on little by little. I feel so grateful to be able to do a shoot like that, to be a little more ”naked” than usual. And Storholmen felt naked as well, stripped of all ideas and just present in the now, in every little part of the paint falling from the walls it still reveals it`s own dreams.
