Last things first…the collaborations…

Beckmans school of fashion, design and media had one of the last shows of the fashion week in Stockholm MBFW a/w 14 ,  a collaboration between the year 3 students and swedish fashion brands Back, Örjan Andersson, House of Dagmar, Malinda Damgaard, Lagom Studios, Diana Orving, Filippa K. I love these students and their work. I love the freedom that is still there in their creative expressions…and all the work they put into the fusion of future and fashion. They used no models, no one under 18 and no one too thin in the show, a brave action to take and quite a relief  and contrast to watch. See all the collaborations (lookbooks) and the fashionshow HERE. My pictures below give just a small taste…IMG_9377IMG_9397IMG_9396IMG_9410IMG_9412IMG_9426IMG_9375IMG_9381IMG_9382IMG_9383IMG_9391IMG_9394IMG_9405IMG_9407IMG_9414IMG_9421IMG_9429

Guy Bourdin 70s

Determined! Taking new strong steps into the future! Ha, I don`t know, just tired right now honestly. Already too many plans. I like it step by step, go slowly…Here is a photo from the early 70s by Guy Bourdin, one of  few jobs I did with him. We didn`t get to know each other very well but I really loved working with him.The waist looks very thin in this picture doesn`t it ?  I was very thin. I`m a natural thin, I can eat and eat and it doesn`t affect me. That`s my body type. As a young girl and young teenager I was being severely teased for being to skinny. That was not fun, it was painful. Then I became a model and skinny was suddenly the right thing to be. That was a little more fun but the feeling of not being ok didn`t go away right away. It was when the inside became stronger that it all fell into place. The insights of life. My life. That I am in charge from inside out. Back to the waist and the belt on this jacket! I almost fainted. It was pulled sooo very tight to give this look.  And when it was already very tight it was made even tighter  with a small box tucked under the belt in the back. Memories! Pictures bring out memories. And the memories of  working with Guy. He was very, very strong with how he wanted it to be and very dedicated to his photography.

Great gifts by post…1

I got a post parcel from Switzerland and inside was an original print by Hans Feurer, a photo we made for a cover on Queens magazine, in London 1969. What a wonderful, great gift! I was stunned! The picture was part of an exhibition of Hans work at Colette in Paris, together with his book launch last october. Hans and I meet randomly at the Fashion shows in Paris lately  and last time we also had dinner together with Kenzo. Hans did most of the photos and adds for Kenzo back in the early 70s (although not with me). This shoot we did in his studio at Portobello road (if my memory is accurate). He then lived with Swedish model Gunnel, a friend of mine  and they had a very white stylish beautiful almost ascetic home in a converted London house. I remember staying overnight in their guest room and we had a real working friendship day, dinner and breakfast. Next day  Gunnel and I did the Portobello road. Wish I had kept my old 70s blouses from there…This photo is not retouched and you can see all the peachy hair on my face as you look closer. And those lips I had then…makes me smile today. Working like this, work and friendship, both in front of and beyond the camera is a precious gift which reflects in the joy of meeting again many years later. Thank you Hans. We are lucky people to be free to express ourselves in so many creative various ways. Until we meet again…so much LOVE and gratitude.See more of Hans work HERE.
