Lately I have been to great exhibitions in Stockholm, inaugurations of important painters work, like Edward Munch at Thielska galleriet at the far end of Djurgården, one of Stockholms national parks and Hilma af Klint at MM, situated on an island in the middle oft he city. Hilmas work is extraordinary and it is the first time all of her work is shown. Then I was at the opening of a photo exhibit at Waldermarsudde, also in the National park. I tell you all this to let you know that here in my city we can combine walks in nature with great art. And I love it. The photos exhibit is by Carl-Johan de Geer who spent a week in Paris 1967 with two friends, taking pictures of them in the haute couture clothes from Dior, Givenchy, Courreges…Ok I have pictures of this and they come soon. My little mac is with me on an adventure getting reset and emptied, it is so full that it can not take in anything new. I have just borrowed it for a bit to write here a moment. AND it makes me feel SO nervous to have all the photos taken out from iPhoto to a little side box, I can’t tell you…like leaving my baby. Pray that it will be ok
This young woman, who was me then 1967 outside New York for the New York Times magazine felt very sensitive as well, I remember. At home in nature but sensitive to be alone in N.Y and all my friends were in Stockholm or Paris. I had a small flat in East Village, read a lot of books and had my black cat as sweet company. These were not my happiest modeling days but they were filled with reflection and curiosity about life. Life itself. After a while a few good friendships happened and I stayed on for awhile longer.
