My go-to eye look right now

Do you get stuck in makeup routines? Just snatching the same stuff and putting it on the same way every morning. I often do with eye makeup, here’s what I’ve reached for lately!

KIKO Soft Touch Blush – Natural Pink (102) smoked out all over the lids with the EcoTools Airbrush Concealer brush, and lashlines slightly defined with the shadow that I use for my brows. So quick and easy, I actually love this blush more as an eyeshadow than as a blush! The pinky brown shade compliments blue and green eyes beautifully.

Those of you who have been with me for a while can’t have missed my love for Angel, right? Or, it’s rather an obsession. In 1992 Thierry Mugler released a perfume called Angel. Dark chocolate, creamy caramel and red berries hugged by a huge dirty patchouli, it takes over a room in seconds with its rude mega sillage. You’re just supposed to shut up and like it! It’s a typical love/hate scent, and you know where you have me in that question.

Every year new versions, so called flankers, of this 90′s classic are released. Fruitier, darker, sweeter, boozed up, fresher, brighter.. I think we’ve seen everything soon. So when Angel Eau Sucrée appeared, an Eau de Toilette version packed with caramelized meringue, I thought let’s go!

What is it like on the skin? Not much of the Angel DNA is found in this bottle to be honest. A roaring wave of caramelized white sugar similar to spun sugar washes over the skin, supported by a soft patchouli and topped with fresh acidic red currant and something similar to rhubarb. How does this constellation feel? Freakishly similar to all the trendy “fruiutchoulis” that popped up over the last 10 years. Flowerbomb, La Vie est Belle, Jimmy Choo, you get it. To be a bit mean it is horribly close to Aquolina Pink Sugar Sparks, it has the same sparkling over sweetened screech that makes your teeth vibrate. WHATEVER, the bf thinks that I smell lovely and I have kind of a love/hate thing going on with Flowerbomb so Angel Eau Sucrée stays. Even though it’s barking up the wrong tree x10. DON’T LOSE THE DIRTY PATCH, MUGLER!

The bottle is just as gorgeous as previous Angels! This one is a frosted icy purple with clear glitters that look like sugar.

Essie “Bottle Service”

How could I have missed to upload this picture? I obviously did! However, about two weeks ago I found Essie Bottle Service in a drawer, slapped it on and fell in love. It’s the PERFECT hot pink for my skintone and liking. Rich, squishy and vibrant. I rarely fall for pinks because there are so few shades of pink that I like on my hands, but this is YUMMY. Rallelujah.

Audrey

You know when you start with a look not knowing where it will lead? That’s that happened today, and I ended up piling on warm earthy tones on both eyes, cheeks and lips. 100% fall appropriate! Except for the mascara, it sucked.

Deborah Lippmann Fantastical – holiday 2014 collection

Time to look at the nail polish collection that fights for the Best Of 2014 title. The Deborah Lippmann holiday collection called Fantastical contains a bunch of jewel tones that feel unusual for a fall collection. No reds, kelly greens or golds in sight! Still I find it totally spot on. The colours are mystical and magical enough to feel luxurious and winter-like, a smart move to lure in polish nerds who have seen most holiday constellations already! I’ve worn blue Xanadu on my nails for days now and I don’t want to take it off. SO magical.

I have all polishes here except for a black jelly with holographic glitters and a chromed orange with glitter flakes, those two felt less interesting for me personally. But you can see them all in the video below!
