Saint Germain

Idag fick jag ett kul pressutskick från MAC, och jag högg ovanligt fort in på produkterna. Let me tell you why.

Först och störst och bäst av alltihop var Saint Germain, det kalla lilarosa läppstiftet (ur deras standardsortiment) som jag velat ha cirka hur länge som helst. Nu i maj släpps en kollektion vid namn Fashion Sets där storsäljande läppstiftsnyanser ur standardsortimentet (Saint Germain, Myth, Spice, Morange, Impassioned, Russian Red och Rebel) nu även kommer ut som läppglans och nagellack. Bästa idén EVER.

En ögonskuggsduo från kollektionen Reel Sexy (som också släpps i maj) hittade jag också i kuvertet. “Surrealistisk vintage-bio” verkar vara temat för kollektionen, frontad av Kristen McMenamy och fotograferad av fantastiske Miles Aldridge. Coolaste samarbetet ever möjligen? Ögonskuggsduon består av en nästan-matt miss piggy-rosa skugga (Feather Pink) och en kritmatt mörklila (Spellcaster). Kanske inte så upphetsande i sin ensamhet, men när den dök upp ihop med ovan nämnt läppstift blev jag sjukt inspirerad. Idag är det dags för en riktig Barbie-makeup!

Today I recieved some great stuff from MAC, and I couldn’t keep my hands from it for more than an hour at most. Let me tell you why.

First and best of all was Saint Germain, the cool purply pink lipstick (from their standard range) that I’ve wanted for soo long. In May (in Sweden at least) a collection called Fashion Sets is released, where top selling lipstick shades (Saint Germain, Myth, Spice, Morange, Impassioned, Russian Red and Rebel) are released as lipglosses and nail polishes. Best idea EVER.

An eyeshadow duo from the Reel Sexy collection (already released in the states, May in Sweden) was also found in the envelope. “Surreal vintage cinema” seems to be the theme of this collection, with Kristen McMenamy in the pictures taken by fantastic Miles Aldridge. Coolest collab ever? The eyeshadow duo contains an almost-matte miss piggy pink shade (Feather Pink) and a chalky matte dark purple (Spellcaster). Maybe not that exciting on its own, but paired with the lipstick mentioned above I got really inspired. Today is the day for a true Barbie look!
