Smog

Samma skimriga skugga under ögat.

Wow, I’ve been so bad at uploading makeup looks on time lately! This one I wore a couple of days ago, a soft smokey eye with the Urban Decay Naked palette which I haven’t used in a long time, so I basically fell in love with it all over again!

How I do this smokey eye: I apply a medium brown shimmery shadow all over the lid and blend the edges with a matte brown shadow. Same shimmery shadow underneath the eye. Dab a lighter super shimmery brown in the middle of the top and bottom lid (for an extra 3D effect) and then a matte black eyeshadow along the lashlines, focus on the outer corner. Just slab it on, this can easily look too neat. A dab of highlighter on the inner corner and then a light kohl pencil on the waterline, then mascara.

This is one of my favourite smokey eyes, it’s simple to do because it’s all about blending similar shadows, and the eyes get a lot of dimension and depth without disappearing in a black hole (which easily happens when you’re fair skinned). It’s fresh but at the same time not too neat, so it works for almost everything.
