Många av er som kommenterade detta inlägg ville se Retro Red från Orly, så ja, bäst att börja där då!

Lacket är från Plastix-kollektionen som släpptes sommaren 2010, en serie halvmatta lack som Orly själva säger har en satinfinish, men jag skulle vilja påstå att de ser ut som gummi. Diskhandsk-finish liksom. Vissa avskyr dessa halvmatta lack medan andra gillar dem, och jag tillhör nog grupp nummer två. När lack blir riktigt kritmatta så tar de ofta en gråton pga “lurvet” i lacket som skapar finishen, men dessa får liksom lystern av ett blankt lack. Jaja, smakfråga!

Nyansen är ganska svår att sätta fingret på i och med att den förändras beroende på ljus, men jag tycker att det ser ut som en koralltonad röd. Det är förhållandevis enkelt att applicera och torkar snabbt. Två lager krävdes för opaciteten på bilden. Pekfingret blev lite randigt för att jag applicerade tunt, så du gör rätt i att lägga ganska flödiga lager (men inte för tjocka, då blir det bubbligt!) för att få en jämn lackning.

This polish is from the Plastix collection released during the summer of 2010, a line of semi-matte polishes that Orly themselves call “satin finish”, but I think that they look more like rubber. Rubber gloves! Some people really dislike these semi-matte polishes while some like them, and I’m definitely with the latter. When polishes become super matte they often get a grey tinge because of the “fuzz” that creates the finish, but these still has the glow of a shiny polish. Oh well, a question of taste!

It’s quite hard to decide what colour this polish is because it changes depending on light, but I think it’s a soft coral red. It’s quite easy to apply and it dries quickly. Two coats was needed for the opacity in the picture below. My index finger is a bit uneven because I applied it too thin, so you should definitely apply thicker coats (but not too thick, then you’ll get bubbles!) for this to look really even.
