Blue is probably one of the hardest eyeshadow colours to wear, but two tricks that help is pairing it with a solid eyeliner that brings definition and a warm eyeshadow along the edges as blending help for it to not turn greenish. Just smack it on and let it take the place it needs, then it will look stunning!

I’ve had a serious thing for late 60′s/early 70′s makeup lately, so I did a loose take on it! The rounded 60′s Twiggy eye shape doesn’t flatter my eye how much I ever want it to, so I did a clean 50′s eyeliner flick with a messy bottom lashline instead.

NARS Lipstick in Russian Doll is an old shade (you can find some oldies under NARS vintage at the EU website) that doesn’t seem to be available anymore, but I thought I should snap a picture of it when I applied it this morning. Evil, I know! Keep an eye out and get it if you find it, it’s weird and gorgeous! A greyed out earthy plum..? Umm, something like that. The lipstick is quite sheer but buildable, in these pictures I’m wearing a few strokes but a single sweep looks nice aswell! Hello 90′s goth, I like u.

The classic NARS packaging is as pretty as it’s inconvenient, the rubbery tube collects dust and dirt like no other.

How I wore it today, just smacked it on with some heavy lashes and bronzed cheeks.

Here’s what I’m wearing on my face today! I love wearing Lt. Bronze from the LORAC PRO Palette all over the lid, it gives a strong bronze sheen without making my lids look darker which often is the case with those shades. Lashlines are defined with Pewter from the same palette. And no eyeshadow primer! I love this palette to pieces.

Sisley Phyto-Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow “Mango”

Jippi!

Isn’t it INSANELY satisfying to have a bittersweet dream of a thing/scenario/an experience/etc. without really expecting it to exist, and they you find it? For a long time I had an idea of the perfect golden apricot orange eyeshadow that looks bright and happy without draining my face of colour, which is quite a contradiction as block oranges are hard to handle overall. And then, there I stood at Grand Parfymeri in Gothenburg while my eye catched Sisley Phyto-Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow in the colour Mango. I then found it completely logical to whine about this eyeshadow for half a year, so after christmas it was time to do something about it. I’ll have the happiest eyelids ever for spring, now that I have the perfect eyeshadow for it! Yay!

Worn all over the lid with black liner and mascara, simple as that! I love how oranges work with all eye colours. My grey-green-blue eyes seem more grey than usual with this eyeshadow for some reason, and just imagine what it would do to ice blue eyes! Yum!

Yesterday my hair got a redo, the roots got their dark brown back and the coppery ends turned a lot redder than before. It feels a bit sci fi, loving it! Thanks to Roger at Cybtekk as usual. :) When doing my makeup this morning I realized that Garnet eyeshadow from the LORAC PRO Palette matches my hair so I went for it! The crease is deepened with Deep Purple and I have Gold dabbed on the center of the lid.

Don’t even mention the bad pictures, they’re taken both after dark and a day at work. Swedish problems in a nutshell – missing daylight entirely because you’re working indoors. Haha.
