Black Tie

Finally I have pictures of a makeup look where I’m wearing Black Tie from Lipstick Queen! I reviewed it about a month ago, you can read the blog post here! As close to perfection as a dark red lippie gets. Beautifully blue toned without leaning purple, dramatic and dark without feeling blackened and hard to wear. I mean, this makeup look is super simple, the only thing I needed was to apply a bit more cheek makeup than what I would against neutral lips. Dark/bright lips can easily drain the face of colour, so save the blush application to last, then you can easily see how much you will need to come back to life!

Queen

Love! Finns skitbra macrobild på resutatet hos A Different Face.

Två äldre favvosar är BareMinerals skuggkvartett The Truth samt Make Up Store Glitter Eyeliner Queen.

Here’s the face I wore this Saturday! Many favourites were included, both new and old.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Inpalpable Finishing Powder is my newest love, a blurring microfine transparent HD powder that doesn’t feel like stiff dry cornstarch on my face (hello Make Up For Ever HD powder and Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder, you are horrible on my face) but it still keeps the skin matte. Super natural result even though I often, in this look for exaple, really PACK this powder on. Love! There’s an awesome macro picture of the result over at A Different Face.

Two older faves are the BareMinerals eyeshadow quad in The Truth and Make Up Store Glitter Eyeliner Queen. First one contains the perfect semi-smokey shimmery shades for my skintone, last one has a magic sparkle in green, orange gold, a bit of purple.. I guess you understand the swoon-level. It’s hard to photograph though!

Flick it

Todays look was 1960′s inspired! heavy smokey eyeliner wings, nude lips, soft brows, plain skin.

I’ve reviewed the lipgloss in this blog post, the Nic Cage Churning Butter One Crisp Thanksgiving Morn (HILARIOUS!), remember it? it’s probably the most perfect nude lipgloss ever. A plain beige that still doesn’t make me look dead. LUVV IT!

The eyeliner on the other hand.. I’ve used these eyeliners before and now I tried the black one, heck.. they still aren’t the shit.. The tip is too stiff and the formula is kind of dry-ish, not very easy to handle. When you try to touch up an area where it applied patchy it kind of gunks up and gets a little flaky, so strange. It IS waterproof though, so it wears quite well during the day I definitely prefer the IsaDora Flex Tip Eyeliner when it comes to these pens though.

Lite mer relaxad, fluffig och “blown out” än originalet! Se gamla looken i slutet av inlägget.

Today I recreated an old makeup look! Or, well, I picked up the same eyeshadow palette and did a makeup with the same shadows and composition, basically. This version is more of what I like nowdays, how I like to place my shadows and match with the rest of the makeup. A bit more relaxed, fluffy and “blown out” than the original! See the old one at the bottom of the post.

I only got face pictures with my phone this time, oops!
