15 signs that your perfume bottle is fake

As we all know, huge amounts of fake perfumes are sold over the internet and in shady markets, especially designer brands like Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and such. Fakes can contain almost anything you can imagine (or not imagine.. *hurl*) so you should be very cautious when you buy perfumes from anything but an official retailer.

Here’s a good video about authenticity, ForrealMe2 gives us some great examples and heads up when it comes to deciding if a perfume is fake or not. In this video Chanel is in focus, but the same thinking is appliable on all quality brands. Further down you can read my checklist on 15 signs that your perfume bottle can be a fake.

YouTube Tip: 1920′s flapper look by Goldiestarling

I won’t get enough of pretty 1920′s makeup tutorials. Any aspect of the makeup could be picked up and paired with something modern and turned into something new and original. Like those lips for example, pair the dark rosebud pucker (toned down if you will) with a soft shimmery lashy eye, or the eye makeup with a natural base and glossy light lips. Aaah! Vintage makeup is an everlasting source of inspiration. Plus – Goldiestarling is fantastic as usual!
