Let’s sort through a bunch of new stuff!

I have a bunch of new stuff that I haven’t managed to write about yet, so instead of just starting at one end I just thought why not post pictures of it all and have you decide where to begin. Let me know in the comments what you’re interested in reading about!

kat von d

I went to Copenhagen the other day to take a peek at the Kat Von D Beauty line that launches in Sweden very soon. Got some goodies to try.

Rags to Riches

Hi babes! I havsn’t posted anything in a really long time, sorry for that! I’ve gone back to work now so there’s a lot occupying my mind. Here’s a makeup look though! Not the best picture but I’m wearing a lipstick that has become a solid favourite of mine. I rarely wear pinky corals as they wash me out but Rags to Riches is so yummy! There’s something special about this shade.

Pixie Dust

I posted a picture on Instagram (@killercolours) showing you my little weirdo eyeshadow palette, the one where I put colours that don’t look good any other palette. Some of you pointed out that these six shades actually look really nice together, I hadn’t even thought about actually matching them.

Today I went ham on the weirdo palette and tried to make a wearable look out of all these six shades (picture of it at the end of the post!). I ended up using every single one except for Citron. So close! Haha.

In all the look is lime green Pixie Dust on the eyelids, turquoise Sea Mist along the lashlines + in the deepest part of the crease, hot pink Catleya feathered at the edges, pale golden Yellow Brick Road as a inner corner highlight and at last pale iridescent green Zoe patted on the center of the lime green areas for extra dimension.

60′s Kitten

I haven’t worn anything matte pitch black in yeeeears, so today I did a heavy 60′s kitten flick with some matte peachy skin and lips. The 1960′s was easily the hottest makeup decade ever.

On the eyes I first use a black pencil to make a thick winged liner, a point on the inner corner and lined the waterlines. I then packed a matte black eyeshadow on top and bottom lid. Lastly I blended the edges with a warmer brown on my top lid and a cooler brown on the bottom lid. Only a pencil and three simple eyeshadow placements, you just need some patience blending it all. I could do a video tutorial of this eye look if you’re interested!

The lips are a total mashup, I often do this layering just to get the perfect 60′s matte lipstick. I apply peachy Colourpop BFF (and today also a TheBalm gloss to add more of a beige tone), blot it down with a tissue and dab Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Lover on top to make the lips matte and more of a creamsicle colour. Do you know any lipstick that look like this? Please do tell me in the comments!

Yummy colour combos from my Z palettes

It’s easy to get stuck in routines and always use the same colour combos over and over, so I gathered some of my favourite combos together to show you and hopefully get your creativity rolling! I picked shades from my Z palettes where I store single pan eyeshadows, so there will be some mixed brands (even though my favourites tend to be from the same few brands).

If you want to try a combo out and don’t have these specific eyeshadows just pick something similar that you have in your stash!

So, which combo is your favourite?

An overview of the combos! In the pan they might not seem to match, but magic happens when you apply them on the skin!
