Fireball

I have written about Fireball highlighter from Urban Decay before as you might remember, it’s an apricot base (which makes it work as a blush on fair skin) with bright pinky blue glow. It really is as odd as it is fantastic. Fireball is also available as an eyeshadow, you know more intense and probably a bit creamier, but hello, with the new Razor Sharp Water-Resistant Longwear Liquid Eyeliner release coming to Sweden soon (I think it’s out in the US already?) we get our favourite duochrome shade in pure liquid metal form!! I am so excited I could puke. Blog post with more photos of it will be up soon! Blog post about the eyeliner is up, link to the review here!

This makeup started out as a basic soft brown smokey eye where I half way through started craving the new Fireball liner, so to lay down a matching peachy base I packed Fireball highlighter on the eyelids. With mascara, liner and everything in place I felt that something was missing, so I went in with neon coral Slowburn from the Urban Decay Electric Palette to top off the brown lower lash line. And as you can see – this is the product combo dreams are made of. Duochrome coral dream!

Electric (I just want to dance)

Played around with the Urban Decay Electric Palette the other day, here’s the result. I’m wearing all shades except for light blue Gonzo, silly enough! Read my blog post about the palette here.

I’ve also started experimenting with the Naked Skin Foundation again, I got it a few months ago and didn’t really get that excited over the finish, but recently I’ve started feeling like wearing more mattes (well it has the velvety look of a matte but it doesn’t look flat or dry, it’s probably wrong calling it matte though) and as I still want something that looks like skin, this one is a great choice. Does need solid moisture prep if you have combo/dry skin though.

Urban Decay Electric Palette

I’ve finally got my paws on the Urban Decay Electric Palette! Definitely the last one on this train, hehee!

The Electric Palette is, what Urban Decay themselves call, a pressed pigment palette. This because some of the neons aren’t considered eye safe by regulations so they play it safe by just calling them “pigments”, as you might have encountered before with neon shadows. I’ve never heard of anyone reacting badly to them, just that they tend to stain the skin a bit with use. I will happily smother my eyeballs with it!

What I adore the most about it is how they didn’t just create basic neon rainbow palette, here get a few cherry picked neon shades in both matte, shimmery and glittery formulas paired with bright regular shadows of different depth and a bright sparkly silver for accent. The perfect composition for a intense yet refined composition. I really look forward to using this beauty! What kind of look would you like to see first?

These swatches are done on bare skin, quality-wise the standout shades are the shimmers Fringe, Jilted, Urban and Freak (Slowburn and Fringe if we’re only speaking colours!), the only one that really needs some extra lovin is neon blue Chaos which is dustier than the rest. I would say that all of them would look their best over primer although some would benefit more from it than others (ehrm neons ehrm). A white base would be extra good for the neons to make them pop!

Available at select KICKS stores and on the KICKS website for you Swedes. Check the Urban Decay website for more info on where to get it in your country!

Amethyst

I felt it was time for a winged cartoon eye, overly highlighted skin and purple lips, so that’s what I’ve worn today. Quite simple, quite crazy. Love this lip!
