KICKS Baked Blusher “Fashionista”

Let’s look at a gorgeous Baked Blusher from Swedish brand KICKS! This is Fashionista, a peachy pink with a gorgeous sheen.

Getting any associations? Well I did! It made me think of the good ol’ classic Orgasm blush from NARS. But how do they compare?

They aren’t dead on dupes. Fashionista is smoother and “shinier” while Orgasm has more of a gritty golden micro glitter. Fashionista looks more cool toned on the skin, and it’s actually a tad nicer in formula even though I love both. Mmmm, budget finds make me happy!

Available at Swedish KICKS for 149 SEK.

Love! Finns skitbra macrobild på resutatet hos A Different Face.

Två äldre favvosar är BareMinerals skuggkvartett The Truth samt Make Up Store Glitter Eyeliner Queen. Förstnämnda innehåller de perfekta semi-sotiga skimriga nyanserna för min hudton, sistnämnda glittrar magiskt i grönt, orangeguld, lite lila.. Ja du fattar ju. Synd att den är så svår att fota med rättvisa!

Here’s the face I wore this Saturday! Many favourites were included, both new and old.

Rouge Bunny Rouge Inpalpable Finishing Powder is my newest love, a blurring microfine transparent HD powder that doesn’t feel like stiff dry cornstarch on my face (hello Make Up For Ever HD powder and Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder, you are horrible on my face) but it still keeps the skin matte. Super natural result even though I often, in this look for exaple, really PACK this powder on. Love! There’s an awesome macro picture of the result over at A Different Face.

Two older faves are the BareMinerals eyeshadow quad in The Truth and Make Up Store Glitter Eyeliner Queen. First one contains the perfect semi-smokey shimmery shades for my skintone, last one has a magic sparkle in green, orange gold, a bit of purple.. I guess you understand the swoon-level. It’s hard to photograph though!

  • Too Faced Absolutely Flawless Concealer – Vanilla
  • Rouge Bunny Rouge Impalpable Finishing Powder – Diaphanous
  • Make Up Store Bronzing Powder – Shimmer
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish – Lightscapade

  • Oriflame Beauty Eyebrow Kit
  • IsaDora Brow Shaping Gel – Dark Brown

  • Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance
  • BareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 – The Truth
  • Meow Cosmetics Eyeshadow – Prophecy
  • Illamasqua Medium Pencil – Hex

Three things I find myself buying over and over and over again

Some products seem to end before they’re even started. Why? Well, because they get used nearly every day, and it’s far too good to be exchanged for something else once you run out. So you keep buying, and buying, and buying.. Here are three of my repeated buys.

repeated buys

Desert Essence Natural Refreshing Tea Tree Oil Mouthwash

A super effective alcohol free mouthwash with antiseptic tea tree oil. Tastes very mild, almost no mint at all and kind of sweet (while sugar free) but it KILLS any trace of garlic breath. Plus it’s vegan. You’re welcome.

Lernberger Stafsing Dryclean Dark

Dry shampoo for kings and queens! I often find that dry shampoos 1. stink, 2. don’t really absorb oils well and 3. feel like brushing corn starch through the hair. This one gives insane volume, matte texture and smells fine. Plus it’s dark which makes it look less powdery in darker hair.

Depend Nagellacksremover Supersnabb

Nail polish remover from Swedish Depend. Relatively cheap, gets rid of glitters somewhat fast and doesn’t contain acetone. Doesn’t make my fingers wanna curl up and fall off, that’s a good thing, right?
