Hare Polish “Pegasus”

Härom dagen tröttnade jag på mina långa naglar. Efter en viss längd börjar de vara ivägen, fingrarna börjar tappa funktionen. Touch screens och liknande blir fett svåra att hantera, man kan inte plocka upp något litet som ligger på en plan yta, man får ont om man slår i naglarna och bara.. näe. Så naglarna rök, det känns bra! Gillar dem när de är såhär korta, det känns french liksom. Sedan känslan av att ha bebisfingrar pga hälften så stora naglar, den är ju lika weird varje gång.

I alla fall, här har vi Pegasus från Hare Polish, ett lack jag väntade ivrigt med tills naglarna blev kortare. I en blekt lilagrå jellybas ligger nerbäddade bitar av silverglitter, och med två lager såg det ut såhär. Drömskt och vackert! Jag gillar hur glittret mjuknar och ser mindre blingigt ut när det simmar runt i den mjölkiga basen. Det var inte så ruskigt svårt att ta bort för att vara ett glitter heller! Köpt på Llarowe.

The other day I got tired of my long nails. After a certain length they start becoming a problem, the fingers lose their function. Touch screens and similar things become really hard to use, you can’t pick small things up from a flat surface, you can hurt them if you hit them into something etc. So yeah, the nails were cut down, and it feels good! I like them when they look like this, it feels so french. The feeling of having baby fingers because of nails that are half the size you’re used too, well, it’s just as weird every time.

Anyhow, here’s Pegasus from Hare Polish, a polish that I’ve eagerly waited with until my nails got shorter. In the pale lilac grey jelly base there are pieces of silver glitter hidden, and with two coats it looks like this. Dreamy and beautiful! I like how the glitters don’t look as bold when they’re kind of buried in the base colour. It wasn’t very hard to remove for being a glitter either! Bought at Llarowe.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick

Efter att ha sett goda recensioner ploppa upp åt höger och vänster så var jag himla sugen på att testa de nya Color Statement-läppstiften från Milani. Sagt och gjort, här är de sex nyanser jag bestämde mig för! Gjorde snabba swatches nedan så ni får en hum om hur de ser ut på läpparna.

Kan på rak arm säga att hade någon pulat ner detta i en YSL-hylsa och sålt det för tio gånger priset så hade jag inte tyckt att det var förvånande kvalitetsmässigt. De är otroligt krämiga utan att kladda och de känns faktiskt återfuktande på läpparna vilket ju enligt mig ca aldrig händer. Formulan är lätt och väldit färgstark på samma gång, vilket är en kvalitet jag ofta tycker tillhör “lyxmärkena”. De doftar alldeles våldsamt av syntetiskt melongodis däremot, så är man inte förtjust i det får man vänta lite innan man lägger en halv hyra på att beställa hem hela linjen (vilket annars hade varit helt befogat). Testa ett och se om du kan ursäkta doften, sen kör du. (hej uppviglare!)

After seeing good reviews here and there I had to try the new Milani Color Statement Lipsticks. Said and done, here are the six shades that I went for! I did a quick swatch below so that you can see how they look on the lips.

I can straight away tell you that if someone mashed this into an YSL tube and sold it for ten times the price I wouldn’t see any problems quality wise. They’re super creamy without being goopy and they actually feel moisturizing on the lips which rarely happens in my opinion. The formula is lightweight but packed with colour which is a quality that I often find more in the “luxury brands”. They’re heavily scented with synthetic melon candy though, so if you don’t like that I advise you to take it easy before you splurge half a rent on ordering the whole line (which otherwise would have been totally right). Try one and see if you can get by the scent, then go wild. (totally Jesusing you up right now!).

01 Sweet Nectar – Super bright orange cream, nearly leaning yellow!

12 Flamingo Pose – A bit darker but still as saturated as your regular coral pink. Lovely.

14 Rose Hip – Creamy cool pink, not chalky as many bright pinks are.

17 Plumrose – An unusual colour, right inbetween plum, red, pink and.. brown? I don’t even know. GORGEOUS!

20 Uptown Mauve – Plummy purple. The sheerest of these but as you can see – not even close to a problem.

26 Nude Créme – The perfect peachy nude on me that doesn’t blank me out!! Will look more pinky on darker skin.

Sephora spring -13 press event in Denmark

Ni som läst ett tag har nog märkt att jag inte är den som brukar blogga om pressvisningar, och jag har varit rätt säker i det. Jag har tyckt att det känns lite överflödigt eftersom andra bloggare gör det så fånigt bra (eh Purity?), och känslan av att dokumentera saker “bara för att” i hopp om att någon annan än jag ska vilja se det. Igår åkte jag till Köpenhamn för att gå på ett roligt event med Sephora gällande vårens produkter och fick något slags uppenbarelse, liksom fan, jag testar att göra det på mitt sätt! Något slags “trendspaning” där ni helt enkelt får se det själv verkligen tyckte var kul. Jag testar även på ett nytt format (som ni sett i ett inlägg förr) med två bilder i bredd och korta bildtexter som jag håller på engelska nu när det är ett internationellt märke för att ha kollagefeelingen i fokus.

Låt mig veta hur ni känner kring alltihop! Är det kul att se/läsa om sådant här, gillar ni formatet, funkar det att läsa utan svensk text? Puss!

Those of you who have read my blog for a while might have noticed that I’m not the one who writes posts about press events, and I’ve been quite secure with that. I’ve felt that it’s a bit unnecessary when there are bloggers who do it excellently already (eh Purity?), and the feeling of documenting stuff “just because”, in case someone else would want to see it. Yesterday I travelled to Copenhagen in Denmark to attend a fun event with Sephora about spring 2013 and I got some kind of revelation, heck, I’ll try and do it my way! Some kind of falcon eye view where only show the stuff that I found interesting for real. I’m also trying out a new format (which you’ve seen in one post before) with two pictures in width and short captions only in English now that it’s an international brand to focus on the collage feeling.

1) Arrived early (how often does that happen with Swedish trains?) in a rainy Copenhagen, went for a walk.
2) Finally bought the NUXE Cold Cream High-Nutrition Hand Cream! (pic taken post-Sephora, see hand)

3) Had a soy latte at Baresso to get warm and dry.
4) Went to the Sephora event. Look at their awesome new skincare visual! So freaky, I love it.

5) Awesome visuals as I said. This one for makeup. I LOVE IT!
6) Peeked at the new single pan Colorful Eyeshadow (90 SEK) that you can pop out and put intoooooo..

7) …palettes of three! You will be able to buy the flat tin with three shadows of your choice + the palette.
8) Super sparkly ashy purple called Colorful Fireworks. Schmokeey!

9) Bright lagoon blue with heavy shimmer called Curacao Punch. Totally tropical.
10) Stick-on nail designs with Nail Patch, from the Valentines collection. Love the one with hearts!

11) It-Palette (250 SEK) from the Pastel Pop spring collection. The shimmers are “topcoats”, interesting concept.
12) And on the skincare side, Targeted Eye Remover Swabs (40 SEK) that you snap and they’ll soak themselves. Fun idea!

13) 3D Sponge Precision, the egg shaped foundation sponge! Sephora catched the trend train.
14) And of course, Benefit! Everything is so pretty..

15) Here are their new little mini kits, sad that Benefit often include animal hair brushes though. Please don’t..
16) The World Famous Neutrals palette in Sexiest Nudes Ever, also comes with two cream shadows. MEGA CRAVE!

17) The new Fake Up concealer for undereyes. It has a ring of moisture and a coloured core. Felt loovely on the skin.
18) Event is over, and I just had to go to Illum and visit their big Sephora store. To see it all in action you know!

19) The cute Benefit stand. I love their quirky vintage look.
20) Did a little shopping. Undereye brightener, two eyeliners (hello YELLOW!), shower gel sample and shower poof.

21) Went to the accessories and bought the PERFECT bombshell hat, how I’ve been searching for it..
22) And of course, had to dive in at Agent Provocateur. All for the sake of drooling with a dropped jaw.

23) Ran in at Urban Outfitters to get the double folded cards that I’ve seen on their website. HILARIOUS.
24) Managed to push down 14 pieces of sushi at the train station, then it was time to go home. Thanks for a great day!

Pahlish “Toxic and Timeless”

Jag grunnade i flera timmar på vilket lack jag egentligen skulle testa först av de lack från Llarowe som kom igår, men inpå kvällen hade jag slagit fast vid Toxic and Timeless från Pahlish. En sjöjungfrig (ja, sjöjungfrig) liten dröm med aquablått, grönt och guldglitter i en grön jellybas. Det har strängglitter vilket jag i vanliga fall avskyr, men skönheten i detta lack ursäktar allt.

På tal om att ursäkta allt, formulan krävde en del stolthet för att ursäkta. Det kändes som att måla med klister, antingen lackade jag för tjockt så glittret totaldrunknade eller så fick jag dra med en pensel så klistertorr att basfärgen knappt hängde med. Två lager krävdes i alla fall (och två torkningar av flaskhalsen, SÅ klistrigt! Har aldrig varit med om dess like. Kanske värt att thinna?) för något av det vackraste jag haft på naglarna genom tiderna.

I tried to decide for hours which one I should try first of the Llarowe polishes that arrived yesterday, but in the evening I had made up my mind, it was time for Toxic and Timeless from Pahlish. A mermaid-y dream wich aqua blue, green and gold glitter in a green jelly base. It has string glitters which I usually dislike, but the beauty of this polish excuses everything.

Speaking of excusing everything, this formula needed some guts to excuse. It felt like painting with glue, I either applied to thick which drowned the glitter completely or I had to apply with a brush so sticky dry that the base colour barely went on. Two coats were needed anyways (and two wipings of the bottle neck, THAT sticky! I’ve never seen a polish that sticky before. Maybe it’s worth thinning?) and it’s probably one of the most beautiful polishes that I’ve ever worn.

Polish bliss from Llarowe

Happy Booster

Dagens makeup började med brun skugga, mascara och lite bronzer på kinderna. Sedan eskalerade det till att jag testade ett rouge. Och sedan blev jag sugen på ett läppstift. Ibland blir det så, eller hur?

På kinderna har jag (bortsett från bronzern) Happy Booster från Physician’s Formula i färgen Natural, ett rouge som enligt företaget själva innehåller växtmojs som ska härma endorfiner och därmed göra en gladare. Jag gissar att det är stora ord som egentligen bara handlar om den döfina uppenbarelsen. Jag äger helt klart inget finare rouge, och jag tvekar inte en sekund på att det gör mig glad!

Oooch på läpparna då, där har jag 411 från Nouba som jag lite snabbt visade på handen i förra veckan. Många av er ville se det på läpparna så här är det!

Todays makeup started with a brown eyeshadow, mascara and some bronzer on my cheeks. Then it escalated and I tried on a blush. And then I felt like wearing a lipstick. It happens now and then, doesn’t it?

On my cheeks I’m wearing (apart from the blusher) Happy Booster from Physician’s Formula in the colour Natural, a blush that according to the brand contains some plant stuff that mimics endorphins which will make you happier. I’m convinced that those are just big words and that it’s mainly is about the lovely visual part. I don’t own a prettier blush, and it definitely makes me happy!

Aaaand on my lips I’m wearing 411 from Nouba which I showed you on the back of my hand last week. many of you wanted to see it on the lips so here it is!

Mandarine

Yesterdays makeup! Soft peachy pinks really can’t go wrong. The nail polish is Bella Vita from the IsaDora spring collection! I love this soft lavender/blue shade, it’s definitely one of the collection highlights.
