GÄST: Sleep∞Over

Sleep∞Over är det mjukhårda bandet från Austin, Texas, som blandar mörker och ljus, konkret popmusik och evighetsljud. Där finns alltid ett pockande mörker under de väna rösterna, vilket det gör att man ofta återvänder till dem och finner att ljudet skiftat. Förklädd till lättsam lo-fi by day blir samma låt ganska otäck by night (jag tänker exempelvis på ”Come Wander With Me”). Häxhouse eller ej, i Sleep∞Overs värld kanske natten faktiskt aldrig tar slut. Christa valde ut några juveler till vårt gästinlägg.

TRUE GEM. Can’t find much information on this amazing narrated footage, but it really is a a visual love song for the sea. Totally inspiring.

Apparently Gram stirred up some Jagger-drama with this video, makes me love him even more! RIP.

Loving this Youtube persona‘s creations of ultimate jams paired with great footage. Love this one to Harry J All Stars ”Liquidator”. Really got me researching the early skinhead era (before the Nazi-association), and the amazing collection of reggae paired with the movement.

Lastly, this song is on constant play, and the video embellishes the mood perfectly – taken from the Oneness 12″ by Cocteau Twins. Also really love the original version of ”Cherry-Coloured Funk”, but my appreciation for this alternate mix is overwhelming.
