This is for my mother who has been a breast cancer survivor for 4 years. The flower is a marigold, which the flower of October, my mothers birth month.
This was inspired by my love of the Beatles song “blackbird” and my love of the Beatles. I got it right before I graduated college as a symbol of independence and learning to fly on my own.
